Following the success of their first two stores in east London, Religion opens their third venture on Portobello Road last winter.

In keeping with its prominent location in the heart of west London, the store has been tailored to suit a new and distinctive Religion customer, with an eclectic interior concept and custom-built wrought iron shop front.

Drawing inspiration from their dark and deconstructed signature, the interior perfectly captures Religion’s distressed nature through the use of unique and rare reclaimed antiques as fixtures. Untreated iron pins punctuate the white washed walls while light is flooded through the space by a beautiful iron stable door converted into a mirror that adorns the ceiling.
 
A Victorian funeral carriage is neatly transformed into a display case for jewellery and fragrance, whilst a reclaimed crucifix sits prominently behind the primary window overlooking the till point made from distressed vintage doors.

An old prison door points toward the stock room while gothic stag heads traverse an entire wall at the stores front. Oversized metal skulls are dotted across the store with ornamental tomes and bibles from yesteryear resting on shelves.

The store houses both the mainline and premium ‘Black Label’ collections, with a dedicated space for Religion’s expanded range of denim and a larger accessories area.

Also on offer is a broad selection of kidswear, which encompasses miniature versions of the label’s most distinctive styles. The collection is exclusive to Religion’s three stand-alone stores.
