Ben Day studied at the Central School of Art until 1987. Where enamelled and jewelled pieces displayed his enduring love for colour and light. In 1990 whilst visiting the Los Angels jewellery district Ben fell in love with the array of gems on display, and discovered a new palette of expression, which rapidly over took his use of enamel.

He was introduced to Maxfield in LA who commissioned him to produced exclusive collections for their extraordinary Hollywood clients. From 1995 onwards Ben's collections were being sold in the USA, Japan and London’s Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Selfridges who commissioned collections for their Wonder Brands launch.

Ben Day opened his first shop and studio in Spitalfields, London in 2002 and on the strength of this success he has relocated to his new boutique in Notting Hill. Where his collection of one of kind jewellery is showcased. The bespoke service enables him to work closely and discreetly with his clients, to create significant personal and private pieces of jewellery.

Uniquely, Ben travels the world himself, and has built a network of gem cutters and merchants who are as passionate as they are specialised, from whom he sources the gemstones which are the primary source of inspiration for his jewellery, that he creates in the studio below the shop.

Ben Day’s 29 years in jewellery have seen him refine his designs by fusing traditional hand making skills with the latest technologies, seamlessly blending the heritage of bespoke jewellery with his sublime colour play, the resulting jewellery is pure luxury.

Holding true to his belief that real jewellery by its nature is not for the mass market, but is a personal expression of the passion and love between those who give and receive his work.
